M.Shahadat Hossain

Shahadat Hossain has taught marketing in Canada and the United States for over 14 years both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has taught at Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, Ottawa from 2001 to 2006. He then went on to teach at the State University of New York, Potsdam till 2015. During this period he has also taught at Clarkson University, NY as an Adjunct Professor

Prior to his academic career he worked in various sales and marketing positions both in the service and manufacturing industries. He has held senior executive positions in multinational companies and ran a public limited company with over 400 employees as its acting Managing Director. He has owned and operated his own businesses in Dhaka Bangladesh. He is a marketing consultant in the hospitality industry and is currently the Managing Director and CEO of Astute Horse Business and Marketing Solutions.

His research interest are in the following areas: Entry Strategies in Global Business; New Service Development; Consumer Behavior in the digital environment.
